Realfiction took the top prize at RBTE, Europe’s largest retail solutions show! RBTE enjoyed their most successful event ever, with over 12,000 visitors descending on London’s Olympia to visit RBTE and the co-located Retail Design Expo, with more than 1,500 visitors coming from overseas.

With over 350 superb exhibitors and a fabulous conference programme boasting speakers such as Catriona Marshall, CEO of Hobbycraft, Andrew Harrison, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of Dixons Carphone, Simon Belsham, Managing Director of Grocery Home Shopping for Tesco.com and many more, every area of retail technology was covered.
Rewarding innovation at RBTE
As a new feature, the Innovation Trail provided visitors with the opportunity to see the very best innovation that RBTE’s exhibitors had to offer.
This attracted some fantastic entries and the steering committee had a tough job coming up with a short list from all the innovations. A total of 12 solutions were invited to be a part of the Innovation Trail, chosen from a range of forward-thinking vendors by a committee of industry experts.
The judging panel was made up of a number of industry experts, including Heath Cormack, IT strategy manager at Kingfisher; Kash Ghedia, technologies manager at Dixons Carphone; Chris Hughes, consultant at Retail Automation Consultancy; Brian Kilcourse, managing partner at RSR Research; Richard Mader, president and International Consulting and ARTS Director Emeritus; Mark McMurtrie, director at Payments Consultancy and Jevern Partridge, director at Ridge Solutions.
Out of the 12, it was Realfiction that scooped the ‘Eye on Innovation’ award for its Dreamoc – a fantastic holographic display solution that both industry experts and visitors at the expo deemed to be the most innovative product on display. The Dreamoc commands attention for any product, presenting it in a way that makes it remarkable, enabling clients to differentiate any product using personalised creative storytelling.

The Realfiction stand generated a lot of interest – the solution was stunningly presented and having such a highly innovative product at RBTE added to the general excitement at the show.
