Danfoss rented a 3D holographic display as the main experience and centerpiece on their stand at Euroshop, equipped with built-in interactivity to encourage visitors to explore their new Danfoss Smart Store - an intelligent energy control system designed for food retailers.
Danfoss is a global manufacturer of products used in cooling, electric motors, and other powered machinery. Being leaders in their field, Danfoss is a company that dedicates a lot of time in promoting their (often) complex and intricate solutions by attending key industry fairs and expos. As with many other large-scale manufacturing companies, explaining the benefits and details of their products to fair attendees can often be a difficult task to master.
‘We were looking for a display that could explain the concept and value of our Smart Store Solution and at the same time create attention and excitement."
Henry Steffensen, regional marketing manager, Danfoss
As a solution, Danfoss rented a 3D holographic display as the main experience and centerpiece on their stand at Euroshop, equipped with built-in interactivity to encourage visitors to explore their new Danfoss Smart Store - an intelligent energy control system designed for food retailers.
The idea of Danfoss Smart Store is to install an energy control system in supermarkets and other food retailers to keep the usually vast energy consumption by refrigerators, freezers, lights, and utilities for this type of store at a bare minimum. While combating climate change by reducing the energy consumption of retailers, it also saves stores a lot of money, and if the store in question manages to even have a surplus of energy it will be available for purchase by others, which again will save more energy.
‘We found the holographic display to meet these criteria and are looking forward to further exploring how this technology can help us convey the Danfoss Value Proposition – right from the individual functionality of a product to the benefits of a complete system."
Henry Steffensen, regional marketing manager, Danfoss
Inside the hologram display, the high-quality 3D animation visually explained the detailed story of the Smart Store solution in a matter of seconds - something that would normally take much longer for the company's salespeople on the stand.
By explaining the concept visually to passersby, the salespeople significantly bypassed the initial show-and-tell phase, as the prospect leads now had a clear understanding of the product and its benefits.
